Job summary

MD Now Urgent Care in Florida is seeking a X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant to join our physician-led team. You will provide patient care, perform imaging per orders, take vitals, and document in the EHR.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year clinical experience, maintains BLS, and holds RT or BMXO/BMO license in-state; AAMA certification preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and an incentive program with a sign-on bonus up to $3,000.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or BMXO/BMO license in state of residency is required.
• Current certification from the AAMA is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKGs, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR appropriately.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out including chart audits.
• Maintain records and logs on in-house and sent-out lab work and drug screens.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have:
