Job summary

MD Now is seeking an X-Ray Tech - Medical Assistant to support high-quality, efficient patient care across Florida locations. The role combines imaging services with MA duties, requiring EHR use, vital signs, EKGs, and injections.

You may travel/float between MD Now locations within the assigned area; 1+ year of clinical experience is helpful, and a radiology license is required in Florida. AAMA certification is preferred and BLS must be obtained within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• License as RT or BMXO/BMO, valid in residency state.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start; pass Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug screenings within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Imaging services as ordered and update patient charts accordingly.
• Document patient history and enter data into the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients updated on clinic progress.
• Willing to travel/float between MD Now locations within the assigned area.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and updates patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and documenting EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
• Willing to travel/float between all MD Now locations within assigned area preferred

You should have:

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Basic X-ray Machine Operator (BMXO / BMO), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
