Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Houston, TX, is seeking an X Ray Technician Limited Scope to join our patient care team. This role performs routine x-ray exams and supports medical procedures under clinician supervision, delivering quality clinical care and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating radiologic equipment, maintaining safety and equipment, and supporting front-office tasks while upholding HIPAA compliance and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Completion of state approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license by the state in which employed, if applicable.
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Customarily has at least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology
• Customarily has at least six months of X-Ray experience and familiarity with routine medical procedures
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare and/or customer service-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and assist with positioning.
• Operate radiologic equipment and ensure safety standards.
• Maintain and calibrate radiology equipment and QA/QC procedures.
• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non‑DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Handle front-office tasks and ensure HIPAA compliance.
