Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group in Hampton Roads, VA, is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for our Urgent Care locations. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for growth within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities include performing radiologic procedures per orders, ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and documenting all procedures. Active VA licensure and CPR are required; ARRT preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ARRT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures per physician orders.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety following radiation guidelines.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Keep exam rooms stocked and ready for patient care.
• Schedule imaging studies and issue pre-procedure instructions.
• Review prior imaging studies from external facilities.
• Document all procedures in the medical record.
• Answer calls and assist patients and staff with imaging questions.
• Participate in quality assurance, compliance, and continuing education.
• Maintain CPR certification and required licensure.
• Demonstrate reliability, attendance, and professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection and safety guidelines
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care
• Schedule imaging studies and provide clear pre-procedure instructions to patients
• Obtain and review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed
• Accurately document all procedures in the medical record
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, compliance activities, and continuing education
• Maintain current CPR certification and required licensure
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism
• Perform additional duties as assigned by providers or leadership

What We’re Looking For
