Akumin in Plano, TX is hiring a Full Time X-Ray Tech to assist Remote MRI Technologists and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging with a patient-centered approach. You will place IVs, administer contrast when prescribed, and help maintain safe, efficient workflow in a fast-paced radiology department.

Requires ARRT (R) and state license if applicable, Alpha RT certification within 30 days, BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 6 months, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable.
• Alpha RT Certification within 30 days of hire.
• BL S or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrate knowledge, understanding, and competency in the clinical area of the practice.
• Excellent people skills and adaptability in a demanding environment.
• 50% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Remote MRI Technologist or On-Site MRI Technologist with imaging services.
• Ensure high standards of patient care and safety during examinations.
• Properly place IV access and administer contrast as prescribed.
• Maintain records of service and monitor workflow to minimize downtime.

This will be a Full Time position.The primary function of the Advanced Xray Technologist is to assist the Remote MRI Technologist in performing imaging services to patients. The Xray tech advanced is responsible for ensuring that the delivery of the high standards of patient care mandated by the organization are met in the provision of services and in the interaction with patients, family members, physicians, and other personnel. Acts as a liaison among Team Members, Remote Technologist, Quality Staff, and Operations Management.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Assist the Remote/On-Site MRI Technologist to perform high quality diagnostic imaging services in a safe, timely, professional, confidential, personally attentive manner.Properly place and maintain patent IV access for patients, as needed, using aseptic technique. Administer MR contrast agents as prescribed by the ordering physician. Identify adverse reactions following injection and escalate patient treatment according to protocol.Assist with the overall workflow of the department to ensure the completion of work assignments.Monitors and orders supplies to avoid disruption of service.Promptly investigate and report for correction any service malfunction to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain detailed and accurate records of service calls by company.Ensure patient history form is accurate, complete, and reviewed with the RemoteTechnologist. Identify and investigate areas of concern to preclude patient incidents.Transport patient to and from the MR suite. Properly position patient, ensuring safety and comfort.
