Job Summary
Seeking a Limited Scope X‑Ray Operator (LSO) who provides expertise and is a champion of patient care. The role performs timely & quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician, conducts quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment, processes in‑house lab tests, maintains records and logs, and works closely with clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for evaluation and treatment.
- Conduct quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
- Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in‑house lab tests, including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
- Maintain records and logs on activities such as lab work, drug screens and x‑rays sent to other labs.
- Collaborate with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and occupational procedures are adhered to.
- Cross‑train for front desk duties, including greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, end‑of‑day close‑out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and record release.
- Work alternate shifts and float to other clinic locations as required, coordinating with staff to ensure patient care quality.
- Assist with general patient care when needed.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school of radiological sciences.
- LSO – Limited Scope Operator license in Colorado.
- 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial.
- Ability to obtain a BLS Certification within 30 days of start.
- Office Laboratory Assistant license if required by the state.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
