Job summary

Bayview Physicians Group is seeking an X-Ray Technologist for its urgent care network in Hampton Roads, VA. This full-time role involves performing diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining imaging equipment across multiple urgent care locations.

Qualified candidates will have a radiologic technology program degree, an active Virginia licensure, CPR certification, and ARRT is preferred. The position offers growth opportunities and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license.
• ARRT certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety while following radiation protection and safety guidelines.
• Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot imaging equipment.
• Keep exam rooms stocked, organized, and ready for patient care.
• Schedule imaging studies and provide clear pre-procedure instructions to patients.
• Obtain and review prior imaging studies from external facilities as needed.
• Accurately document all procedures in the medical record.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with imaging-related questions.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives, compliance activities, and continuing education.
• Maintain current CPR certification and required licensure.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance, punctuality, and professionalism.
