Job summary

Rezolut is seeking a dedicated X-ray Technologist for our Kingston, PA site. Under supervision you will perform radiographic imaging to support diagnosis and patient care, ensuring safety and accuracy in every exam.

You will verify orders, position patients, explain procedures, and collaborate with radiologists. The role requires ARRT certification, CPR/BLS, and the ability to handle patients with varying mobility levels.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ orders.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Position patients, including moving those with limited mobility.
• Limit radiation exposure by using lead shields when needed.
• Ensure high-quality images to prevent repeat procedures.
• Collaborate with Radiologist to determine additional tests if needed.
• Maintain x-ray equipment and report malfunctions.
• Keep accurate records of completed x-ray procedures.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the X-ray Technologist will perform quality images of bones, soft tissues, and organs as instructed.

Essential Functions of an X-ray Technologist:

• Verifies patient identity and review physicians’ orders before beginning x-ray procedures.
• Uses x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of patients' bones, tissues, and organs as per physicians’ written orders.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Positions patients to include lifting and moving patients with limited mobility.
• Limits patients’ exposure to radiation by placing lead shields on patients where needed.
• Ensures quality x-rays are taken to prevent repeat procedures.
• Works closely with the Radiologist to determine whether further tests are required.
• Ensures that x-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working order, promptly notifying management of damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment.
• Maintains an accurate record of completed x-ray procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Possesses a skilled level and working knowledge of X-ray scanning technology.
• Competency in instructing fellow X-ray Technologists in the art of scanning.
• The ability to communicate with radiologists and other healthcare providers about images and patient care.
• Demonstrates skill and knowledge to identify abnormalities while performing X-rays.
• Initiative to obtain additional scans, views, or extremely technical factors to provide maximum information for the radiologist to make an accurate diagnosis.
• Maintain sensitivity to physical and psychological needs of patients
• Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPPA guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• ARRT Certification
• CPR/ BLS Certification

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Work generally does not involve occupational risk; however, failure to follow established procedures and safety practices could result in minor injury, e.g., minor cuts, needle punctures, bruises from falls on slippery floors, or back injuries sustained while assisting in moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials.
