Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the reliability, safety, and mission readiness of X-BAT unmanned aircraft systems and related ground support equipment. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and documentation while collaborating with engineering, quality, production, and flight operations teams.

The role requires aviation maintenance experience, ability to read technical manuals, and proficiency with precision tools. Travel and U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation maintenance and operations across multiple departments.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, drawings, torque specs, and inspection criteria.
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to inspect components for wear, corrosion, damage, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, configuration, and quality records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational-level maintenance on X-BAT UAS and GSE.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain aircraft systems and components.
• Use manuals, drawings, and service bulletins to complete maintenance accurately and safely.
• Document inspections, discrepancies, repairs, and component replacements.
• Construct wiring harnesses and solder components for X-BAT systems and GSE.
• Comply with training and certification requirements for maintenance personnel.
• Support development and improvement of maintenance task instructions and checklists.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, flight ops, supply chain, and field support.
