Job summary

HomeWorks Energy in Sutton, MA, is seeking a Field Manager to lead 2–4 Field Supervisors and oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and an outstanding customer experience.

Based in Massachusetts, you will manage Mass Save projects, coordinate crews, train staff, perform site inspections, and collaborate with the Branch Manager to hit weekly revenue and quality targets.

Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of HomeWorks university training.
  • Lead Safe certifications a plus and OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Mass Save install experience is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Mass Save work and ensure coverage and on-time completion.
  • Supervise 2–4 Field Supervisors for safety and quality.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and provide feedback to management.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to field supervisors.
  • Perform site inspections and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Update CRM reports and achieve revenue and quality targets.

Position Type: Full-time, salaried position. This position is eligible for bonus based on performance.
Job Summary:

The Field Manager is responsible for managing 2-4 Field Supervisors and the day-to-day operations in the field ensuring adherence to safety protocols and a great customer experience.

  • Manage Mass Save work and ensure adequate coverage and timely completion of projects.
  • Supervise the activities of 2-4 Field Supervisors, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to Mass Save and company best practice for safety and quality.
  • Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback to management, and ensure crews receive proper training.
  • Assist field management team with problem solving methods.
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to upcoming field supervisors, ensuring alignment with company policies and best practices.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct site inspections to assess workmanship, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among field crew.
  • Administrative:
    • Update Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software reports, cases, inputs, and truck inspections.
    • Achieve weekly revenue, NPS, documentation, and quality targets.
    • Complete daily closeout inspections.
    • Work with Branch Manager on daily operations.
    • Perform additional tasks as required.
Education & Experience:
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of HomeWorks university training.
  • Crew Lead and Lead Safe certifications a plus.
  • Obtain specialty "Insulation" Construction Supervisor license.
  • 1+ years of experience in Field Supervisor role.
  • Obtain OSHA 30 certification.
  • 2+ years of Mass Save install experience or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 Annual Salary + potential for up to 10% discretionary annual bonus
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This is a management role that is responsible for managing a team, department(s), or region(s), and is responsible for setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, providing feedback to team members, allocating tasks and responsibilities as required, and managing resources.

Work Environment:
  • Office Environment: This position is primarily based in an open office environment with typical office conditions; however, may occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
  • Warehouse Environment: This position is based in a warehouse, which serves as a base for many of our operations and includes equipment and material storage areas.
  • Customer settings: This position is based in customer settings and will require work in and out of doors, including in attics, basements, small-confined spaces, and rooftops.
Physical Demands:
  • Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
  • This job may require travel in a personal or company-provided vehicle.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, or kneel in confined spaces. The employee may be required to lift up to 60 pounds, and must be able to climb ladders, enter crawl spaces, and move up and down stairs safely.
