This position is vital to the daily operations of the Water System as it performs inventory management and material distribution processes at a water reclamation facility. The position also performs various tasks including maintaining stock inventory levels of warehouse items, ensuring items delivered are the correct quantity and the appropriate price. Maintains logbooks of items received, assigning proper locations in the warehouse and works with vendors to obtain quotes and submit supply orders to management; ensures vendor payments are processed once inventory is received and verified; follows up with vendors on missing items or delayed deliveries.
High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in a related area; supplemented by one year of experience in inventory management. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).
Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, odor, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
