Job summary

Qualifications

• Instruct student-athletes in sport rules, regulations, and techniques.
• Promote self-discipline, character development, and school pride.
• Report to Athletic Director and ensure compliance with district, state, and conference rules.

Responsibilities

• Practice & Game Management: Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and lead the team during competitions, including weekend tournaments.
• Skill Development: Teach fundamental and advanced skills, strategies, and proper conditioning to optimize performance.
• Safety & Supervision: Ensure the safety of student-athletes by supervising them at all times, including practices, games, locker rooms, and on travel.
• Academic & Behavioral Monitoring: Monitor the academic progress and conduct of student-athletes, emphasizing that "student" comes before "athlete".
• Communication: Maintain clear communication with parents, staff, administration, and the media regarding schedules and expectations.
• Equipment & Logistics: Maintain an inventory of uniforms and equipment, and assist with facility preparation.
• Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, fostering good sportsmanship, teamwork, and fair play.
