Job summary

Southwest Allen County Schools is seeking a coach to organize and supervise the sports program, instruct athletes, and prepare for events and practices. The role involves guiding student athletes in skills, strategy, and physical conditioning while modeling character, self-discipline, and pride in achievement.

The coach will work with volunteers and assistant coaches as needed and assist the athletic director/principal with duties.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the sports program.
• Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy and physical training.
• Prepare for and hold scheduled events, meetings or practices.
• Advise, coordinate and support volunteers and assistant coaches as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by athletic director/principal.
