Job summary

Southampton Union Free School District is seeking an internal applicant for the position of Assistant Coach – Varsity/JV Wrestling for the upcoming school year. The role includes assisting the Head Coach with practices, competitions, and team activities.

Responsibilities include instruction in the fundamentals, skills, and strategies of wrestling, supporting the development of student-athletes, and promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety while supervising athletes during practices,

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• DASA training.
• School Violence Prevention training.
• Child Abuse Identification and Reporting certification.
• Must meet all applicable NYSED and District coaching requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach with practices, competitions, and team activities.
• Provide instruction in the fundamentals, skills, and strategies of wrestling.
• Support the development of student-athletes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and safety.
• Assist with supervision of student-athletes during practices, competitions, and other team activities.
• Perform other coaching-related duties as assigned.
