Manassas Park City Schools is seeking an Assistant Coach for Wrestling (MS). The role supports the Head Coach in delivering instruction, safety, and supervision for middle school athletes in wrestling.

The stipend is a one-time award, and the position requires familiarity with school athletics policies and safety procedures. The candidate should have knowledge of the sport and prior coaching experience, with MPCS staff preference noted.

Qualifications

• MPCS staff preferred.
• Knowledge and background in assigned sport.
• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Instructs athletes in fundamentals, strategies, and physical training for individual and team success.
• Instructs participants on personal hygiene and safety procedures and reporting injuries.
• Fosters values of athletics, good sportsmanship, pride in self, team, school, and community.
• Provides a safe environment through supervision of participants.
• Maintains performance records for individuals and teams.
• Maintains equipment records.
• Conveys team and school policies to participants.
• Ensures compliance with middle school athletics rules and MPCS guidelines.
• Communicates with parents/guardians and informs students about programs.
• Assists with public relations and dissemination of athletic program information.
