Job summary

The Woodland School District is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach for Woodland High School. This position involves assisting in coaching student-athletes and fostering skills in sportsmanship and teamwork.

The ideal candidate must have previous coaching experience, pass a background check, and be able to mentor and motivate students. Responsibilities include planning and organizing sports activities, ensuring student safety, and promoting core athletic values.

Qualifications

• Twenty‑one years old.
• Must pass a background check.
• Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR Card.
• Must complete WIAA online courses and WSD head coach checklists.
• Must be current with WIAA coaching clock hours.
• Be able to pass a screening test to provide transportation for student‑athletes.
• Regular and punctual attendance to carry out the duties.
• Previous coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize and promote the core values of the Athletic Program.
• Serve as a positive role model for students.
• Assist the head coach in planning and organizing sports activities.
• Assist at all practices and organize all games.
• Work to be an effective team member.
