Hy-Vee in Marion, IA seeks a Bakery Wrapper to ensure products are attractively presented and accurately labeled. You will greet customers, wrap and weigh items, and stock displays with care, while maintaining hygiene and presentation standards.

As the final inspector before items reach the floor, you will support the bakery team, assist in cake decoration when needed, and help ensure all signage and in-store promotions are accurate and available.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Hy-Vee Food Safety program required.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred.

Reporting Relationships

Accountable and Reports to: Store Director; Store Manager; Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home; Bakery Department Manager; Baker; Apprentice Baker

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Hy-Vee Food Safety program required
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently stand and walk throughout a shift in sales, food service, or delivery areas
• Where applicable to the role: ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
• Where applicable to the role: exposure to heat- and burn-related hazards associated with cooking, baking, or grilling equipment
• Where applicable to the role: ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
• Perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties

Working Environment

This is a fast-paced role in a bakery environment where you will be on your feet throughout your shift. You will have continual exposure to cool temperatures and dampness, with frequent noise and occasional exposure to cleaning solvents and potential electrical hazards. Safety is always a priority, and training is provided to help ensure a safe and supportive work environment.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen.
