Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to oversee wound care services and lead hospital-wide education initiatives. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans and educate patients and families about wounds and wound care.

This role emphasizes ongoing professional development, regulatory compliance, and staying current with advances in wound care techniques to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of wound care experience is required.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• RN/PT/OT licensure required for acute rehab hospitals; RN required for long-term acute care hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop wound care services in adherence to regulatory standards and physician orders.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide guidance on wound care treatments.
• Lead educational efforts for hospital staff on wound care topics, as well as educating patients and families on wounds and wound care.
• Maintain continuous education and stay updated on the latest wound care techniques and advancements.
