Job summary

Rego Park Healthcare in Queens, NY is seeking a full-time Wound Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team and improve residents’ quality of life.

As an RN with NY licensure and wound care certification, you will assess, monitor, and develop personalized treatment plans, collaborate with the clinical team, and provide staff training on wound care and safety to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN with current NY state licensure.

• At least 3 years of wound care management experience.

Responsibilities:

• Wound Care Management: Assess, monitor, track, and provide advanced wound care for residents, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with the clinical team.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to patient safety, clinical outcomes, and operational procedures. Implement best practices to minimize potential incidents and improve patient care quality and complete and track accident and incident reports.
• Staff Education & Training: Provide ongoing training and education to nursing staff regarding wound care and risk management protocols to ensure adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current NY state licensure
• Certified Wound Care Nurse
• At least 3 years of experience in wound care management
• Experience in risk management, patient safety, or quality improvement is highly preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards of care

Salary: $45 - $55 HOURLY
