Job summary

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1 day/Friday) in Modesto, CA to round at multiple facilities within a designated territory. MD or DO with active license required; board certification preferred.

Compensation includes base plus commission with a sign-on bonus and full benefits for full-time employees; mileage is reimbursed. Rounds occur in post-acute settings across nursing homes and related facilities, with no on-call or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, with focus on wound risk factors.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement effective wound care plans.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressings.
• Educate nursing staff and coordinate with primary care physicians and families as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear usage instructions.

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1 day/FRIDAY) to work in the Modesto, CA areas. Qualified candidates will round at multiple facilities that are located within a designated territory. We are currently seeking Medical Doctors (MD or DO) to join our progressive medical practice.

Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents of post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications

• Active state medical license (MD/DO)

Duties

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends


• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.


• Round daily at multiple facilities


• No supervisory commitment

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.


• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.


• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.


• Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.


• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.


• Provide quality patient care to the Geriatric patient population.
