Qualifications

  • Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies and nursing process.
  • Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings accurately, reporting changes in condition to the care team.
  • Utilizes knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care and education.
  • Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration.
  • Assists physicians during procedures within the scope of competency and skill.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions (e.g., CPR).
  • Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
  • Implements infection control protocols to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
  • Monitors and operates medical equipment as needed for patient care and safety.
  • Promotes patient safety and maintains a clean, safe environment.
  • Participates in audits and compliance checks to ensure standards are met.
  • Engages in professional development to maintain current nursing standards.
  • Participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes.
  • Critical Care RN: administers meds, manages complex equipment, and supports life-sustaining therapies.
  • Emergency Services RN: rapid assessment/triage and emergency procedures.
  • OR Services RN: perioperative care and instrument handling.
  • Cardiac Surgery RN: post-op monitoring and ICU care.
  • Endoscopy RN: pre/post procedure care and equipment safety.
  • Obstetrics/Labor RN: fetal monitoring and labor support.
  • Oncology RN: chemo administration and supportive care.
  • NICU RN: neonatal critical care and ventilation support.
  • Telemetry RN: cardiac monitoring and data analysis.
  • Dialysis RN: dialysis setup and patient monitoring.
  • Cath Lab RN: pre/during/post-procedure care and patient monitoring.
  • PACU RN: post-anesthesia care and pain management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain attendance.
