The role includes staff education, monitoring outcomes, and developing protocols to improve wound healing and reduce complications. Previous acute care experience and wound-care certification are preferred; ACLS/BCLS required. Day shifts, full-time, no weekends.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state required.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Prior Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Wound-care certification preferred or plan to obtain within first year (WOCN, ABWM).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments and provide expert management of complex wounds.
• Assess and document wound characteristics and progress.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound-care treatment plans.
• Perform wound treatments and dressing changes within scope and policies.
• Utilize evidence-based wound-care products and modalities.
• Monitor healing progress and modify care plan as needed.
• Coordinate care across discharge planning and post-acute providers.
• Serve as a clinical resource for complex wound-care needs.
