Korzen Health is seeking a part-time Wound Care Physician to serve as Medical Director for our Wound Care Clinic in Rogers, AR. The role is outpatient and procedure-focused, with daytime hours and no nights or weekends.

A full clinical team will support you from the start, and HBO therapy training is available. The candidate must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in a core specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine) with strong procedural experience, including suturing and I&D.

Qualifications

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in core specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery).
• DEA license obtained prior to start; ACLS/BLS certifications required.

Job description

Korzen Health seeks a part-time (3 days/week)Wound Care Physician to serve as the Medical Director for our Wound Care Clinic in the Rogers, AR area.

This position is based in our outpatient wound care clinic and is exclusively dedicated to procedural wound care. Standard working hours are during the daytime, typically averaging approximately 40 hours per week. This role does not require night shifts, on-call duties, holiday work, or weekend hours. PRN shifts will depend on current provider availability/PTO. All patients are seen by appointment only; walk-ins are not accepted. The clinic is integrated with our partner facility.

This is a procedure-oriented environment primarily serving geriatric patients. The successful candidate must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in their core specialty and possess a strong procedural background with recent experience. Experience with minor procedures such as suturing and incision and drainage (I&D) is required, and procedural case logs will be requested as part of the credentialing process. Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available. A full clinical team will be in place from the start date.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a physician leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial results of their Wound Care Center®.

• Serve as liaison with affiliated medical institutions for services required such as hospitalization and emergency medical services.

• Participate in regional and national conference(s) related to wound care improvement or new wound care information.

• Ensure appropriate HBO chamber quality and safety, including appropriate documentation of approved indications, physician supervision requirements, and presence of appropriately trained safety director appointed for the Hyperbaric Unit.

• Provide continuing wound care education to the staff and community, including new advances in wound healing and new product reviews.

• Provide regular formal presentations to various audiences (i.e., medical staff meetings, hospital department meetings, grand rounds presentations, local medical and community organizations, service clubs, etc.) to enhance visibility of the WCC® and support local medical and community education and awareness.

• Actively schedule and participate in one-on-one discussions about the wound care program with primary care and surgical specialties.

• Act as spokesperson for wound care program services when local media opportunities arise.

• Build appropriate relationships with interdisciplinary specialties to ensure appropriate and timely consultative patient care needs.

• Engage in self-development through corporate training and coaching, and through participation with professional associations.
