Hill Country Wound Care Vascular and Hyperbarics, LLC seeks an experienced Physician to join our wound care team in the Greater San Antonio area. The role focuses on advanced wound management and improving quality of life for patients with complex wounds.

The physician will collaborate with NPs, PAs, and nurses, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to program development and research. Bulverde, TX location supports diverse care modalities including hyperbaric therapy.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with active state license.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, or related specialty.
• Wound care training or experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluation and management for patients with wounds.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Perform wound care procedures including debridement, dressings, and advanced therapies.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses to optimize care.

Job Posting: Physician – Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physician to

join our wound care team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide

advanced wound management and contribute to improving the quality of life for

patients with complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluation and

  management for patients with acute, chronic, and complex wounds.

• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing

  evidence-based wound care practices.

• Perform wound care procedures including

  debridement, dressing selection, and advanced therapies as appropriate.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams,

  including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses, to optimize patient care.

• Educate patients and families on wound

  prevention, management, and long-term healing strategies.

• Contribute to quality initiatives, clinical

  research, and ongoing program development within the wound care service line.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care

  in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy

  (DO) with active state medical license.

• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family

  Medicine, Surgery, or related specialty required.

• Specialized training or experience in wound care

  preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and

Hill Country Wound Care Vascular and Hyperbarics, LLC operates multiple physician-based wound centers in the Greater San Antonio area. Our newest location in Bulverde, TX will help local patients heal their chronic wounds with various modalities, including the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. We also are a wound management company, with desire to build relationships with other well trained wound care doctors and clinicians in establishing new wound centers within the 50 states. The management company brings both ownership, buildout, credentialing, billing, payroll and operational support to those physicians and communities we serve.
