CommonSpirit Health in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Wound Care Physician to join our outpatient wound care practice. This full-time role targets board-certified general surgeons or interventional cardiologists with wound care experience to join a growing, integrated team.

Responsibilities include expert wound care procedures, collaboration with RN and hyperbarics staff, and oversight within a clinic that handles 50-60 patients daily across ten exam rooms.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of wound care experience.
• If hyperbarics training exists, it is preferred.
• If no certification, expect to obtain within first 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert wound care within the Dignity Health Wound Care practice in Prescott, AZ.
• Collaborate with RN and hyperbarics team and supervise hyperbarics.
• Manage outpatient clinic with 4-500 patients per month.
• Maintain Mon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule; no call.
• Support a team with Ostomy certified RN, therapists, and Vein Center collaboration.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Wound Care Physician, you will provide expert care within our thriving Dignity Health Wound Care practice in Prescott, AZ. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a board-certified general surgeon or interventional cardiologist.

Every day you will work within a group practice with:

• Project Volumes: 4-500 patients per month
• Outpatient only
• Mon-Fri 8am -5pm
• Procedures - Please describe: sharp debridement, application of skin substitutes, total contact casting for offloading, work with an RN, supervision of hyperbarics.
• No call
• Additional practice details: Established hospital outpatient wound care and hyperbaric clinic since 2012. The only wound care and hyperbaric clinic in northern AZ. Also have Ostomy certified RN’s, Occupational and Physical therapist performing Lymphedema treatment. Ten exam rooms, clinic sees an average of 50-60 patients per day. Two hyperbaric chambers, works closely with the Vein Center Vascular Surgeon for venous and arterial patient care. Collaboration with Infectious Disease physician in clinic.

To be successful in this role, you will possess 1+ years of wound care experience. If trained in hyperbarics already, preferred. If no certification will expect getting the certification within first 3 months of hire. Level: 1+ years experience performing wound care procedures.

Job Requirements

Required

• Completion of a residency in Surgical specialty, Internal Medicine,Family Practice or Interventional Cardiology.
• Current BC/BE Surgical specialty, Internal Medicine,Family Practice or Interventional Cardiology.
• Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
• Valid DEA certificate
