Job summary

RestorixHealth in Metairie, LA is seeking a Registered Nurse for our wound care team. The role trains you to follow the Nursing Process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, collaborating with other disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes.

This Monday–Friday position offers ongoing education, competitive compensation, and mentorship. You will educate patients and families on wound care, recognize changes in condition, and ensure timely implementation of physician orders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing; BSN preferred for Magnet Hospitals.
• Valid RN license.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Experience with wound care; training provided.
• Billing and coding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.

Our Wound Care Registered Nurses (will train) are the heart and soul behind what we do. Utilizing the Nursing Process, the RN plans, implements, directs, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. The Wound Care Nurse works collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit. Additionally, the RN prioritizes nursing actions and will implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames. Ongoing training will provide you with the tools to be successful in your role.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice
• Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time framesEducate and counsel patients and their families on wound care processes and issues

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for Magnet Hospitals
• ValidRegistered Nursing license required
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Prior experience working with wound care patients (Will train)
• Prior experience with billing and coding preferred
