Job summary

RestorixHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our wound care team in Houma, LA. The RN will plan, implement, direct, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process, collaborating with care teams and ensuring timely physician order execution.

The role includes ongoing training to support wound care expertise, eligibility for Magnet Hospital pathways, and a strong benefits package. Licensed RNs with CPR certification are required and prior wound care experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred for Magnet Hospitals.
• Valid RN license required.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
• Prior wound care experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately.
• Prioritize nursing actions considering patient needs, acuity and outcomes.
• Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
• Educate and counsel patients and families on wound care processes.

Our Wound Care Registered Nurses (will train) are the heart and soul behind what we do. Utilizing the Nursing Process, the RN plans, implements, directs, and evaluates patient care to achieve optimal outcomes. The Wound Care Nurse works collaboratively with all other disciplines on the assigned unit. Additionally, the RN prioritizes nursing actions and will implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames. Ongoing training will provide you with the tools to be successful in your role.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice

• ValidRegistered Nursing license required
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Prior experience working with wound care patients (Will train)
• Prior experience with billing and coding preferred
