Qualifications

• Min 6 months experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Active and unrestricted NP license.
• DEA license required.
• CPR certification (BCLS/BLS).
• Master’s degree in Nursing (NP)
• Graduation from an accredited NP program.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Sigma, Visual, PCC – training provided).
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide wound care consults in nursing facilities.
• Evaluate and manage pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical wounds, and vascular wounds.
• Perform wound assessments and staging.
• Conduct bedside procedures such as debridement and advanced wound treatments.
• Develop wound care treatment plans including dressings, offloading, and infection management.
• Collaborate with facility staff to prevent wound development and recurrence.
• Educate nursing staff and caregivers on wound prevention strategies.
• Document progress and treatment outcomes in EMRs.
