Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin APRN license required.
• Wound Care board certification or within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Strong clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and manages wound care patients meeting current standards of practice.
• Educates facility staff regarding patient wound care.
• Addresses acute and chronic primary care complaints and assesses medical urgency.
• Applies critical thinking and follows standardized procedures, with deviations as needed.
• Consults specialty services as appropriate.
• Orders pertinent diagnostic laboratory and radiology testing.
• Accepts feedback from supervising physician.
• Creates and implements a medical plan of care.
• Prescribes medications as appropriate.
• Performs timely documentation and billing.
• Other duties as assigned.
