Job summary

Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated team. The role focuses on skilled wound assessment, treatment, and documentation within a resident-centered care model.

The position supports interdisciplinary care planning and compliance with clinical standards, offering a stable full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM, with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth in a 120-bed sub-acute and long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered Maryland RN license.
• Wound Care Certification strongly preferred but not required.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a nursing home or long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with acceptable nursing standards, physician orders, and established care plans.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in assessing, treating, and monitoring wounds.
• Provide wound care treatments based on resident needs and best clinical practices.
• Deliver respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents, families, and caregivers.
• Provide clinical guidance and direction to members of the nursing and care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Ensure resident confidentiality is maintained at all times in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support healing, prevention strategies, and continuity of care.
