Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in Washington, D.C. to lead wound-care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities.

This full-time role offers a No-Call lifestyle with no nights or weekends, enabling a focused outpatient practice and meaningful patient relationships. You will treat chronic wounds, manage related comorbidities, and perform bedside procedures with comprehensive training provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Manage underlying conditions affecting wound healing.
• Utilize advanced dressings and wound care protocols.
• Collaborate with care teams in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings to monitor healing.
