Provides direct and indirect patient care in an outpatient wound care setting. Collaborates with multidisciplinary treatment teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Assists with the creation, review, and implementation of departmental clinical policies and processes. Coordinates wound care teaching for new employee orientation and annual competency. Resolves patient and family concerns and complaints, investigating and following up as needed. Monitors and evaluates operations for compliance with licensure, accreditation, and regulatory standards. Reviews documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards. Assists in assignments, directing, and reviewing the work of clinical staff. Administers, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates the nursing process in the provision of care. Strives to maintain and improve patient outcomes through adherence to regulatory standards and established protocols. Ensures safe and efficient use of equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions, and following procedures for repair. Actively participates in performance improvement and process improvement activities. Other duties as assigned.
