Job description

The Worship Pastor will report to the Creative Director and work closely with the Lead Pastor in cultivating an engaging worship culture and building strong worship teams that engage the local community and the world. This position will also work alongside one or more other full-time Worship Pastors, a full-time Music Director, and a full-time production Director.

You will responsible for:

• Creating and cultivating a culture of worship throughout Relevant Church, and helping replicate Relevant’s DNA in all departments that feature worship.
• Assisting with the direction and implementation of all worship ministries (kids, students, Celebrate Recovery, and adults).
• Recruiting, auditioning, teaching, scheduling, and training musicians and vocalists to lead across all ministries of Relevant Church, including future campuses and/or expressions of the church.
• Planning weekly worship set lists and mapping out new songs, as well as scheduling musicians and vocalists (Planning Center Services).
• Implementing and maintaining technology in worship to improve the quality of sound and to enable the worship team to flow well and be spontaneous when necessary (ProPresenter, Ableton, Playback, etc.).
• Writing and releasing songs that exalt the Lord Jesus and also give voice to the pain of those in our community and around the world.
• Crafting the unique sound of Relevant Church that draws others in.
• Managing, evaluating, and improving all worship and production elements of Sunday in-service worship experiences (with and via the Production Director).
• Working with a team to create and implement large outreach events such as Easter and Christmas.
