WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 1,425

Dallas Bay Church is a vibrant, multi-generational faith community nestled in the rolling foothills of Hixson, Tennessee, just outside Chattanooga. More than just a place to worship on Sundays, the church is built on three warm, inviting pillars: Discovering God, Becoming Family, and Caring for People. Whether you are looking for a scenic place to raise a family or a community to call home, Dallas Bay offers an authentic environment where people from all walks of life can truly belong.

At the center of everything they do is a deep love for Jesus. They hold a high view of Scripture, believing the Bible is the ultimate source of truth for living. Their weekend services are intentional and filled with music, often featuring a unique and beautiful blend of a powerful worship choir and praise team, an orchestra, and a contemporary band, ensuring that every generation finds a meaningful way to connect with God.

The heart of Dallas Bay is seen most clearly through their active care for the local community and their desire to do life together in circles, not just rows. From the community-focused food pantry to their dedicated ministries for children, students, and “Legacy Builders”, they are passionate about nurturing disciples across every age group. Dallas Bay Church is like a large, extended family gathering on a wide front porch where there is always an extra chair, the conversation is centered on what matters most, and everyone, from the youngest child to the oldest grandparent, has a vital place at the table.

About the Worship Pastor

The role of Worship Pastor at Dallas Bay Church is a heart-centered invitation to shepherd a vibrant, multi-generational community where worship is treated as a way of life rather than just a Sunday morning event. Reporting directly to the Senior Pastor, the Worship Pastor oversees a unique and diverse musical landscape that beautifully blends a powerful choir, praise team, and full band across three Sunday morning services, and also provides leadership for Media Ministries, AV, and all creative elements related to worship. This role is perfect for a worship pastor who possesses not only exceptional musical knowledge and ability but also the humble heart of a teacher and mentor. Beyond the platform, this pastor is a true partner in ministry, engaging in the life of Dallas Bay through pastoral care, creative service planning, and the intentional discipleship of the volunteers and staff who make up the worship family.

Responbilities
  • Provide high-level, visionary leadership and active recruitment for all worship elements, including the Worship Choir, the Orchestra, and the Praise Team, ensuring a high-quality, blended worship experience.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Pastor and the production team to prayerfully design intentional Sunday morning worship experiences that are theologically sound and align with the mission of seeking Jesus first.
  • Champion a culture of intentionality and excellence by prioritizing long-range planning and weekly preparation, ensuring that every song, transition, and creative element is prayerfully curated and communicated well in advance to equip teams and lead our multi-generational family in a theologically sound, distraction‑free encounter with Jesus.
  • Treat the worship and media teams as a primary circle for discipleship, providing intentional pastoral care and spiritual mentorship to volunteers and staff.
  • Actively recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers for the AV, Production, Media, and Platform teams, focusing on fostering a culture of humility and excellence.
  • Model a healthy staff culture while contributing to an authentic, highly collaborative team environment. Champion the organizational health of the ministry by managing music and media libraries and ensuring tools like Planning Center, ProPresenter, and MultiTracks are optimized.
  • Oversee the annual worship and media budget, managing the strategic purchase and maintenance of instruments and technical equipment to ensure the platform remains a distraction‑free space for worship.
  • Provide oversight for the quality and implementation of online services, helping the church reach the community through an inviting and excellent digital presence.
  • Fulfill the calling of an ordained minister by participating in the broader life of the church through weddings, funerals, hospital visitations, and community outreach.
  • Work alongside the ministerial team to ensure that contacts, prospects, and guests are warmly welcomed and successfully assimilated into the life of the church family.
  • Represent Dallas Bay Church at the associational, state, and national levels of the denomination, championing the church’s missional identity in the Hixson community and beyond.
