  • Embrace the calling to represent Christ in all areas of life including within team leadership and congregational life.
  • Treat all team members with Biblical love including in areas of disagreement and conflict management.
Theological and Ministry Alignment
  • The Worship Intern role is a ministry leadership position, not merely a musical or administrative position. The person serving in this role should joyfully affirm and support the mission, values, doctrine, and ministry philosophy of Reflection Church.
  • The Worship Intern is expected to select and lead songs that are biblically faithful, theologically sound, gospel-centered, and appropriate for congregational worship. This includes exercising theological discernment in evaluating lyrics, themes, sources, and the overall direction of the worship ministry.
  • The Worship Intern should be able to serve under pastoral leadership, receive theological and ministry direction with humility, and help cultivate a worship culture marked by reverence, joy, spiritual maturity, congregational participation, and love for the church.
  • Applicants should be prepared to discuss their personal faith in Christ, their understanding of worship ministry, their approach to song selection, and their alignment with the doctrine and ministry values of Reflection Church.
Leadership and Team Management
  • Oversee and manage the worship team, including musicians, vocalists, and volunteers.
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to ensure high‑quality musical worship.
  • Schedule and coordinate worship team members for all services and events.
Worship Planning and Execution
  • Plan and lead worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and the Production Director.
  • Select appropriate music that aligns with the church’s mission and enhances the worship experience.
  • Lead rehearsals and ensure all worship elements are well‑prepared for services.

  • Participate in creative planning meetings to ensure a cohesive worship experience.
  • Provide input and support for special events, conferences, and other church activities.
Musical Excellence
  • Foster an environment of musical excellence and spiritual growth within the worship team.
  • Ensure a diverse and inclusive range of musical styles that reflect the joy of the Kingdom.
  • Stay updated with current worship music trends and introduce new songs as appropriate on a bi annual basis.
Administration
  • Maintain music library and worship planning resources.
  • Manage the worship budget in collaboration with church leadership.
  • Coordinate with the administrative team for worship service logistics.
Qualifications
  • Strong musical skills in both vocal and instrumental areas.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Able to lead volunteers with spiritual maturity, humility, and biblical love.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with multitrack software systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other church staff and volunteers.
  • Joyfully affirms and supports the doctrine, mission, values, and ministry philosophy of Reflection Church.
  • Demonstrates theological discernment in song selection and worship planning.
