Job summary

Saddleback Church is seeking an AVL Technician for part-time help with worship and event production in Lake Forest, CA. The role is 20 hours per week, on-site, to create distraction-free environments for services and gatherings.

The position involves end-to-end event support, including audio, graphics, lighting, and staging, plus managing volunteers and coordinating with staff to ensure smooth productions. Weeknights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a service-oriented and/or technical field is desired.
• Must be able to think quickly on your feet in making technical decisions during events.
• Able to communicate well with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end execution of events, including setup, running, and cleanup of production elements (audio, graphics, lighting, staging).
• Provide technical support for campus venues, ensuring high-quality worship and meeting environments.
• Incorporate and direct volunteers, providing training to equip them for service.
• Act as a technical resource by answering calls and resolving production inquiries.
