Job summary

Morrison Healthcare at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA seeks a part-time Workstation Associate to join our team. Schedule: 4:00 pm–8:00 pm with rotating weekends; 1 year of food service experience is preferred and a $750 sign-on bonus is offered (half at 30 days, remainder at 90 days).

You will assemble patient trays, respect dietary restrictions, and coordinate with Nutrition Services and Nursing to meet nutrition needs while upholding sanitation and safety standards.

Position Details

• Part‑time WORKSTATION ASSOCIATE – hiring immediately.
• Location: Inova Alexandria Hospital – 4320 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22304 (online applications only).
• Schedule: 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, days may vary; rotating weekends included.
• Requirement: 1 year of previous food service experience preferred.
• Perks: $750.00 sign‑on bonus – half at 30 days and the remainder at 90 days.
• Pay Range: $17.50 to $17.75 per hour.

Job Summary

Responsible for patient tray assembly, special requests and needs, and cleaning tasks such as dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, and cleaning kitchen equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble trays according to patient’s menu selections on tray tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Comply with dietary restrictions on special and modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.
• Communicate and address patient food issues, concerns, and needs to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Interact with Nursing regarding patient nutrition needs or requirements as well as unit food service needs.
• Contribute to patient satisfaction goals by providing quality service.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policy as outlined in the facility’s HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of the food supply.
• Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures in a timely manner, meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Identify and utilize cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per MSDS sheets.
• Utilize equipment in performing job functions according to department’s safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
