Job summary

Fidelity Investments in Redmond, WA seeks a client-focused financial advisor to partner with plan sponsors, HR teams, and participants. You will deliver personalized financial planning, retirement guidance, and education on workplace benefits such as 401(k) and equity plans.

Lead workshops, facilitate group sessions, and support client engagements on-site 4–5 days a week, with travel up to 75%. A 3+ year background in wealth management, FINRA Series 7/66, Life and Annuity licenses, and CFP/CRPC

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management, retirement planning, or a related advisory role.
  • FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required (or ability to obtain Series 66 upon hire), with all applicable state registrations.
  • Life and Annuity license preferred.
  • CFP or CRPC designation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning concepts and retirement planning.
  • 1–2 years of client-facing experience providing financial guidance, education, or consultation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted partner to plan sponsors, Human Resources representatives, participants, and internal Fidelity partners
  • Drive participant engagement and maximize the value of employer-sponsored benefits programs, including 401(k), 403(b), equity compensation, stock plans, and other workplace benefits
  • Partner with plan sponsors to develop and execute engagement strategies that increase awareness, participation, and utilization of financial wellness and retirement programs
  • Liaise between plan sponsors and Fidelity business partners, including local branch teams
  • Provide personalized financial planning and investment guidance through one-on-one consultations
  • Lead group workshops, benefits fairs, help desk sessions, lunch-and-learns, and other educational events
  • Educate participants on retirement planning, investment strategies, equity compensation, stock plans, tax-efficient investing, estate planning and financial wellness
  • Manage relationships with plan sponsors and strengthen Fidelity’s partnerships
  • Service local client companies on their campuses in person 4–5 days a week
  • Travel up to 75% for client engagement activities and workplace events

  • Ability to promote participant engagement and increase utilization of workplace financial benefits and resources
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to travel in support of client engagement activities and workplace events (up to 75%)
  • Must live in the Redmond, WA area
  • Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position
