Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Workplace Experience Manager to oversee the day-to-day facilities, admin, and employee experience as the company opens a new 132,000 sqft manufacturing site.

The role focuses on safety, efficiency, and a welcoming environment while coordinating with line managers on project transfers. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in fast-paced office or manufacturing settings, strong Microsoft Office skills, and experience coordinating multiple projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years in a fast-paced, hands-on, employee-facing office environment.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience researching, organizing and coordinating multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Experienced and proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Previous experience working in aerospace industry is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain building lobby and visitor check in/check out policies while following ITAR requirements.
  • Escort visitors/contractors through the building in compliance with Security policy.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, room reservations, guest offices, minor audiovisual, and catering.
  • Document technical meetings and follow up on action items/commitments.
  • Coordinate and execute facility tours for high level customers and visitors.
  • Planning company functions and appreciation activities.
  • Create and review purchase requests, requisitions, expenses, and invoices for facilities and administrative teams; maintain accurate project coding and procurement records.
  • Work with diverse group of employees to assist on projects as assigned by line managers.
  • Work with project leads to ensure proper information and documentation transfer throughout the life of a project.
  • Coordinate facility issues, maintain service provider relationships, ensure repairs are scheduled and completed.
  • Order and maintain building supplies and office stocking.
  • Special projects as assigned.

The Workplace Experience Manager oversees the day-to-day workplace, facilities, administrative, and employee experience activities to ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. They will help manage the opening of our brand-new state-of-art 132,000 sqft manufacturing facility with this position growing to support a team in the near future.

Position Responsibilities
  • Maintain building lobby and visitor check in/check out policies while following proper ITAR requirements
  • Escorting visitors/contractors through the building in compliance with Security policy
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, room reservations, guest offices, minor audiovisual, and catering
  • Documenting technical meetings and follow up on action items/commitments
  • Coordinate and execute facility tours for high level customers and visitors
  • Planning company functions and appreciation activities
  • Create and review purchase requests, requisitions, expenses, and invoices for facilities and administrative teams; maintain accurate project coding and procurement records.
  • Work with diverse group of employees to assist on projects as assigned by line managers
  • Working jointly with project leads to ensure proper information and documentation transfer throughout the life of a project

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, hands-on, employee facing office environment. Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent is required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experienced in researching, organizing and coordinating multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Experienced and proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Previous experience working in aerospace industry is desired

The salary range for this role is

$89,000 - $135,750

ITAR Requirement

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements. A “U.S. person” according to the ITAR definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee or asylee. See 22 CFR § 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements. ITAR U.S. Citizenship is required. Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability obtain a clearance is desired.
