Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality residential carpentry and remodeling work.
• Lead framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other detailed construction work.
• Read and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Help organize and direct day-to-day work on the jobsite.
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades.
• Help plan the sequence of work and keep the project moving.
• Identify field issues early and help determine practical solutions.
• Set the standard for craftsmanship, jobsite organization, and professionalism.
• Guide and mentor less experienced carpenters.
• Communicate with homeowners and trade partners professionally.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite.
• Take ownership of work from layout through final details and punch-list completion.
• Continue developing your leadership skills while remaining actively involved in the work.

You've developed strong carpentry skills over the years, and now you're ready to take on more responsibility by helping lead a jobsite and guiding other carpenters while still staying hands-on with the work. Chads Design Build is looking for a Working Superintendent who brings strong residential remodeling experience, excellent carpentry skills, and a desire to grow into a greater field leadership role. Our projects include kitchens, bathrooms, additions, basements, and whole-home renovations throughout the Madison area. We value craftsmanship, teamwork, and people who take ownership of their work.

What You'll Do

• Perform high-quality residential carpentry and remodeling work
• Lead and participate in framing, finish carpentry, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other detailed construction work
• Read and work from construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Help organize and direct day-to-day work on the jobsite
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades

What We're Looking For
