Job summary

Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking instructors for part-time temporary positions to develop and deliver curricula for various training projects, including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and international programs.

Instructors will maintain documentation such as grades, and adapt to workload with supervision. The positions may require collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and compliance with TSTC core values.

Qualifications

  • Educational requirements vary based on the training need.
  • Two years related experience relevant to subject needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least one of the following areas: industrial maintenance, RCM, vibration analysis, fluid power, electrical, aviation maintenance, safety, instrumentation/electronic control systems, welding, heavy equipment operation, telecommunications, computerized numeric controls, boiler systems, heating/ventilation and air conditioning, English as a second language, and building construction and repair or other specialized manufacturing skill sets and experience as deemed appropriate by client demand.

Responsibilities

  • Develop curriculum for a variety of educational projects including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
  • Deliver instruction for a variety of educational projects including continuing education, apprenticeships, contract and industrial training, and other special training projects, as well as international programs.
  • Complete documentation including grades, etc., as required by the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned
