Job summary

Tharros is actively pursuing an opportunity to support Air Force Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) with mission analysis, base assessment, and data platform management.

The Workflow Specialist will own assessment scheduling, planning, and enterprise stakeholder engagement across the Air Force, interfacing with Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, Joint Staff, and DoD offices to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI access.
  • Experience coordinating assessment-related activities in a DoD environment.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate, and manage enterprise-level assessments.

Tharros is actively pursuing an opportunity to support the Air Force Mission Assurance Construct Support (MACS) program, providing mission analysis, base assessment support, and data platform management services that strengthen the Air Force's Mission Assurance Construct.

Workflow Specialist is an experienced role to plan, coordinate, and manage Mission Assurance assessment activities across the Air Force enterprise. This position is the primary owner of assessment scheduling, planning coordination, and enterprise stakeholder engagement, working directly with Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate Air Force Mission Assurance assessments, supporting scheduling, logistics, and execution across the enterprise.
  • Develop and maintain integrated assessment schedules, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and reporting timelines remain on track.
  • Prepare assessment documentation, including objectives, focus areas, interview guides, stakeholder engagement plans, briefings, and data collection packages.
  • Coordinate with Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, installations, Joint Staff, and DoD stakeholders to align assessment priorities and execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between Government stakeholders and assessment teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and support mission planning.
  • Collect, organize, and manage Mission Assurance assessment data, including vulnerabilities, dependencies, findings, and mitigation recommendations.
  • Maintain high-quality assessment data within Government repositories, ensuring traceability, governance, and alignment with mission, capability, and asset data.
  • Integrate Mission Assurance data with Emergency Management, Antiterrorism, MARPA, and All Hazards Threat Assessment (AHTA) information to support enterprise risk analysis.
  • Coordinate with Air Force and DoD organizations to ensure assessment data is accurate, standardized, and consistent with Mission Assurance guidance.
  • Analyze assessment results to identify trends, recurring vulnerabilities, operational risks, and opportunities to improve mission resilience.
  • Develop executive-level reports, briefings, dashboards, and decision-support products for senior Air Force leadership.
  • Support post-assessment activities, including lessons learned, findings adjudication, continuous process improvement, and enterprise reporting.
  • Utilize collaboration and project management platforms such as Platform One, Mattermost, Jira, Confluence, and TMT to coordinate activities and maintain program documentation.
  • Support enterprise Mission Assurance governance by enabling data-driven planning, risk management, and long-term mission readiness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Active Top Secret security clearance; must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI and TS/SCI Caveat access for the entire duration of the contract.
  • 3+ years of work experience in any career field, discipline, or industry.
  • Ability to perform all functional duties independently without direct supervision.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and managing assessment, inspection, evaluation, or comparable operational activities in a Department of Defense environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining schedules, planning products, coordination packages, and assessment-related documentation across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating directly with senior military and civilian stakeholders at the command, MAJCOM, or enterprise level.
  • Experience collecting, structuring, and managing data in Government systems or authoritative repositories in support of analytical or operational programs.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assessments, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, reports, and coordination materials for senior military and civilian audiences.
  • Ability to travel to Air Force installations and other Government locations in support of Pre-Site Surveys, assessment execution, and stakeholder coordination.
