Job summary

Sedgwick Claims Management Services Ltd is hiring for a California Workers’ Compensation Claims Adjuster in a hybrid role. You will analyze mid- and high-level workers’ compensation claims, determine benefits due, and guide adjudication to ensure timely settlements.

Qualifications

  • California jurisdictional knowledge required.
  • Four (4) years of California Workers Compensation claims management experience or equivalent.
  • SIP licensing knowledge or ability to obtain within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze mid- and higher-level workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and adjudicate within company standards.
  • Develop action plans for claims resolution, coordinate return-to-work efforts, and approve payments.
  • Manage subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Communicate claim actions with claimants and clients; ensure proper documentation and correct claims coding.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $73,000 - 85,000.
