Job summary

The City of Sacramento is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Representative to manage a self-administered program. Under general supervision, you will adjust claims, coordinate medical evaluations, settlements, and return-to-work processes while maintaining excellent service and integrity.

Ideal candidates will have experience with complex claims, strong communication skills, and knowledge of California WC laws.

Qualifications

• Three years of Workers' Compensation claims adjusting experience.
• Experience with complex workers’ compensation claims management.
• Knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review accident and injury reports; open and adjust claims; may pay benefits and medical bills.
• Coordinate return-to-work, evaluations, and settlements; maintain reserves.
• Communicate with injured employees, departments, physicians, and attorneys; ensure timely case closure.
