Job summary

Rusin Law, Ltd. in Chicago seeks an Associate Attorney for the Workers’ Compensation Department. The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of relevant experience, with training provided for strong applicants, and a solid understanding of Illinois workers’ compensation procedures.

You will litigate, draft pleadings, negotiate settlements, and represent employers and insurers at hearings and trials, while maintaining clear client communication and assisting with accident investigations.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant Workers’ Compensation experience preferred; training available for strong candidates.
• Illinois license in good standing is required.
• Ability to clearly communicate with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Litigate workers’ compensation cases at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission.
• Represent employer or insurer at hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of the employer.
• Assist with investigation of accidents and issues.
