Job summary

Included Health is seeking a Workday Systems Analyst – Finance to design, configure, and manage Workday Financials and related finance applications. You will partner with Finance to translate needs into practical system solutions and improve processes and reporting.

The role involves production support, testing, and coordinating with Technology Services on integrations, with opportunities to optimize data visibility and align with finance priorities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Finance organizations, Finance systems, or related areas.
  • At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience with Workday Financials or comparable ERP modules.
  • Working knowledge of Finance processes, procedures, and policies, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, functional design, system configuration, testing, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting system issues and communicating clear, actionable resolutions to business stakeholders.

The Workday Systems Analyst – Finance supports the design, configuration, delivery, and ongoing management of Workday Financials and related finance applications. This role partners with Finance stakeholders to translate business needs into practical system solutions, improve business processes, and maintain reliable reporting and integrations. The analyst provides production support and contributes to projects that improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of Finance operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Workday Financials and related finance applications, including financial management, procurement, reporting, and connected business processes.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business needs, requirements, and functional specifications.
  • Evaluate current processes and workflows, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend improvements that support Finance priorities.
  • Configure and maintain Workday business processes, security-related requirements, reports, calculated fields, and other functional components within the role’s scope.
  • Support integrations and data flows between Workday and adjacent finance applications; coordinate with technical teams when issues require deeper integration or engineering support.
  • Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshoot system issues, communicate resolutions, and elevate risks or defects appropriately.
  • Create, maintain, and improve scheduled and ad hoc reports using appropriate Workday reporting tools.
  • Partner with Finance and Technology Services teams to validate data accuracy, investigate reporting discrepancies, and improve data visibility.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria; execute or coordinate testing for configuration changes, integrations, reports, and system releases.
  • Support project planning and delivery for Finance systems initiatives, including requirements, process design, testing, documentation, and implementation activities.
  • Stay current on Workday releases, product capabilities, and relevant finance systems practices; identify opportunities to use new functionality to improve business processes.
  • Create and maintain functional documentation, procedures, job aids, and support materials.
  • Build effective working relationships with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, FP&A, and other cross-functional partners.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Finance organizations, Finance systems, business applications, or a related area.
  • At least 3-4 years of hands‑on experience with Workday Financials or comparable ERP finance modules.
  • Working knowledge of Finance processes, procedures, and policies, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis, gap analysis, functional design, system configuration, testing, reporting, and documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting system issues and communicating clear, actionable resolutions to business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and customer‑service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate discussions with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt effectively to change.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Workday procurement, expenses, accounting, reporting, or related Finance functionality.
  • Experience supporting integrations or data flows between Workday and adjacent finance applications.
  • Experience with Workday reporting, business processes, calculated fields, and data validation.
  • Experience working in a healthcare, technology, or other complex operating environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software releases, implementations, or continuous improvement initiatives.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $116,050 - $127,000 per year in the United States. This posted range reflects the portion of our internal salary band that is currently funded for new hires in this role across our standard labor markets (Zones A–C).

For context, these markets include Zone A (e.g., Phoenix AZ, San Antonio TX, Columbus OH, Charlotte NC), Zone B (e.g., Chicago IL, Denver CO, San Diego CA, Houston TX), and Zone C (e.g., Los Angeles CA, Seattle WA, Washington, D.C., Boston MA). At this time, we are not budgeting for hires in higher-cost Zone D markets (e.g., San Francisco Bay Area CA, New York City NY, San Jose CA) for this role. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location, skills, experience, and internal equity. We use structured salary bands and geographic zones based on cost of labor to keep pay fair and consistent.
