Job summary

Peregrine Search Solutions in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant / Business Analyst for a contract-to-hire engagement. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, partnering with HR, Finance, and IT to optimize and configure Workday modules.

Responsibilities include leading end-to-end functional support across Core HCM and related modules, gathering requirements, managing semi-annual Workday releases, building reports, and guiding UAT.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday functional experience (Core HCM required).
• Active or past Workday HCM certification is a strong plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday BP framework, security, and reporting.
• Experience leading UAT and semi-annual release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end functional support and configuration across Core HCM and related modules.
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements with business leads; drive process improvements.
• Manage twice-yearly Workday releases: analyze, test, and deploy updates.
• Build and optimize custom reports and calculated fields; assist with integrations and EIB validation.
• Lead UAT: write test scenarios, execute scripts, track defects, obtain sign-off.
• Provide Tier 3 operational support and root-cause analysis for Workday issues.
• Develop user guides and deliver training to end-users and admins.
