Job summary

Nelnet, Inc. is seeking a Workday financial systems analyst to enhance the Workday Financials experience and maintain data models. You will work with the Workday Systems Manager, business leads, and end users to implement new features and ensure end-to-end value across the organization.

The role emphasizes collaboration, testing, and documentation, with a hybrid work option and a Lincoln, Nebraska office component to foster in-person teamwork three days per week.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting and finance information system management; 1–3 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience with Workday preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology or experience working in an Agile way
  • Experience with project planning, testing, documentation, and execution

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to product development by delivering new features to enhance the Workday Financials system.
  • Research existing functionality and new features to understand impact on processes.
  • Gather requirements and coordinate testing for multi-segment feature releases.
  • Confer with finance and accounting end-users to research and resolve issues.
  • Administer Workday Financials data model and workflows.
  • Identify trends and coordinate backlog with the Product Owner.
  • Collaborate with Workstream leads to align processes with internal controls.
  • Ensure change management procedures are followed effectively.
  • Troubleshoot finance and accounting user issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide training and support for users.
  • Liaise for integrations to internal and 3rd party systems.

The Workday financial systems analyst will develop and deliver projects that enhance the Workday financials experience. This role will work closely with our Workday Financial Systems Manager, Workstream leads, and Business Segment leaders to implement new features in Workday that improve the end user experience and provide value to the entire organization. This role will also assist with maintaining the structure of the Workday financial data model and related product configuration.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to product development by delivering new features to enhance the Workday Financials system.

Pay Range for this role is - $80,000 - $90,000

This position offers a hybrid work option. Nelnet values flexibility and understands the importance of work-life integration. Our hybrid work environment allows associates Living within 30 miles our Lincon Nebraska office location to work remotely for part of the week, while also fostering collaboration and team connection through in-office presence three days per week.
