Premera is seeking an Internal Consultant II to support work transfer readiness, transition planning, governance activities, and operational change initiatives. You will coordinate across Premera Operations, the PMT, and vendor partners, building readiness dashboards and documentation to ensure smooth transitions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with leaders, operational teams, and partners, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business operations, project coordination, or analytical roles.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience creating and maintaining process documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate work transfer and transition activities across Premera Operations, PMT, and vendor partners.
  • Support readiness assessments, training, documentation, and governance.
  • Monitor transition deliverables, provide readiness reporting, and implement improvements.

The position partners closely with business leaders, operational teams, and vendor partners to identify risks, drive readiness activities, and support continuous improvement efforts.TelecommuterWhat You'll DoOperational Readiness & Transition SupportCoordinate work transfer and transition activities between Premera Operations, PMT, and vendor partners.Support readiness assessments related to training, documentation, operational controls, and business preparedness.Monitor transition deliverables and provide readiness reporting, status updates, and implementation support.Support post-transition stabilization activities, lessons learned documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Governance & Documentation ManagementMaintain work transfer governance documentation, including readiness checklists, transition plans, templates, and supporting artifacts.Develop and maintain process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge transfer materials, and operational documentation.Support SharePoint-based knowledge repositories and ensure documentation remains accurate, accessible, and current.Facilitate document reviews and governance checkpoints to support transition readiness.Risk & Stakeholder CoordinationIdentify, track, and communicate transition risks, dependencies, action items, and mitigation plans.Coordinate readiness reviews, transition checkpoints, and stakeholder meetings.Partner with business leaders, operational teams, and vendor partners to support successful implementation of operational changes.Escalate issues and risks as appropriate while assisting teams in developing mitigation strategies.Business Analysis & Operational SupportWork with clients and department leadership to identify business issues and support operational solutions.Collect, organize, and analyze information to support operational decisions and transition planning.Develop reports, summaries, readiness dashboards, and presentations for leadership and project teams.Provide support for medium to large operational initiatives and readiness projects.Evaluate information from multiple business partners and recommend process improvements when appropriate.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Five (5) years of experience in business operations, project coordination, operational readiness, process improvement, consulting, program support, or analytical business functions.Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.Experience creating and maintaining business process documentation.Preferred QualificationsMBA or advanced degree.Experience supporting operational transitions, outsourcing/work transfer initiatives, or vendor partner relationships.Experience developing process documentation, knowledge management resources, and governance artifacts.Experience using SharePoint, workflow tools, or collaboration platforms to manage documentation and operational resources.Experience supporting change management, operational improvement, or business transformation initiatives.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational and project coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder requests simultaneously.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.Ability to identify operational risks and support mitigation planning.Strong attention to detail and documentation management skills.Experience facilitating meetings, readiness reviews, and stakeholder discussions.Strong analytical and research capabilities.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and SharePoint.Ability to work independently while building collaborative relationships across teams.Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence and customer service.Premera total rewardsOur comprehensive total rewards package provides support, resources, and opportunities to help employees thrive and grow.
