Job summary

CPCCo in Richland, WA is seeking a Work Control Planner to support the D4 End States team as part of the Hanford historic cleanup. You will conduct walk-downs, develop work instructions, and assemble work packages for high hazard nuclear facilities, D&D, and maintenance activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years (Grade 17) or 8+ years (Grade 18) of relevant experience. Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office is desired, and the schedule includes 4-10s with

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with ≥6 years of relevant experience for Career Level Grade 17; ≥8 years for Senior Level Grade 18.
  • Experience in technical work document development and planning.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and standard MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct walk-downs with bargaining unit employees, SMEs, and field supervisors to plan work instructions for high hazard facilities.
  • Develop safe and compliant work instructions and assemble work packages for field work.
  • Facilitate hazard analysis and planning meetings.
  • Assist in design change packages and troubleshooting as appropriate.
  • Provide information to procure needed materials and track/control work packages.
  • Coordinate input from craft and SMEs across organizations to resolve planning issues.
  • Support other Work Control Planners.

At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. The Work Control team at the D4 End States in Hanford's 200 East Area is seeking a dynamic professional who is a self-starter willing to support the team and take an active part in making them successful.

The Work Control Planner, under minimal supervision, responsibilities typically include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting walk-downs with bargaining unit employees, subject matter experts and field work supervisors to develop and plan work instructions for high hazard nuclear facilities, D&D, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, construction or surveillance activities.
  • Developing safe and compliant work instructions and assemble work packages for field work.
  • Facilitate Hazard analysis and planning meetings.
  • Assisting in design change packages and troubleshooting as appropriate.
  • Providing information to others in order to procure needed material, track, and control work packages.
  • Coordinating input from craft and SMEs from multiple organizations involved with planning and completing field work and resolve work planning issues.
  • Providing support to other Work Control Planners.
Basic Qualifications
  • Career Level Grade 17: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Senior Level Grade 18: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 8 or more years of relevant experience

The higher posted level has a greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), as well as other Microsoft computer programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point desired.
  • Experience in the development of technical work documents.
  • Experience in construction industry, planning, scheduling, and/or procurement.
Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.

  • Career Level Grade 17: $86,200- $137,650
  • Senior Level Grade 18: $94,750 - $151,800
